Liz Green Photography

This was such a fun site to make! Thought it might be fun to try and do it all on a single page that gets longer and longer as Liz adds new images. Not sure if this will be the fastest loading page ever, but it should be fun!

Annimation

Once again, I used a ‘from first principles’ content management system that I made using PHP and a MySQL database. I think I’m getting the hang of this now! A really useful image resizing script helped with the listing of images on the page, and the Lightbox script for jQuery was a lifesaver. I’m not saying I like jQuery yet, but certainly had fun with it on this site. Mainly on the email form, and (as long as you aren’t using IE6) the little cartoon does fun stuff when the mouse rolls over it.

Speaking of which, iStock doesn’t have any cartoons that look quite right, so I had to use a good old fashioned pen to draw on some arms to hold the camera, and the far more comfortable to use Pen-Tool to recolour this little pic…
